Zentangle

WOYWW #148

Shoshi Made me do it, visit her blog, she is very talented for a newbie
I love how she designs outside the square 'literally', I love that!
Thanks Shoshi, my husband is going to have a word with you for introducing another craze but then again he may not as he said he could do that too so woohoo, we can share a craft together

The design on the left is a Celtic knot, the one on the right is Betweed and some circles
If you want to know more about it here are some websites:
Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas
started this craze

I tangle, too! Love the Celtic knot, you are very good. Isn't it calming? I haven't done it in a while, but really enjoy it. Barb #116

Ha! Ha! I thought Shoshi's post was very intriguing myself and almost wanted to pick up a pen too. I just can't do another hobby though... although I was a zentangle style doodler from way back so probably it would be like falling off a bicycle (easy to do). I laughed that your DH said he could do it too. I would challenge him to a zentangle-off.

hi again thanks for your comment. No my DD is not in the team. There was a special free event for fun runners to test out the track. 5000 were randomly chosen from 40,000 who applied. She was just lucky, her husband is also a runner and very envious as he didnt get picked. It was an amazing day

Yay - celtic knotwork, my favourite. Zentangles are really addictive and you're right, Shoshi is an expert as is Neesie. I'm but a mere scribbler compared with them!

Oooh wow Bridget - gorgeous gorgeous zentangles, and thanks so much for the link to my blog! Much appreciated! Your work is great - I love the Celtic knot and must start doing those again - I've got George Bain's classic work on the subject, well worth getting if you can!

Great that you can get OH doing it too! I haven't got mine going yet...

I ROFL'd at your comment on my blog (for which many thanks) - if you want my book, you'll just have to download the photos lol!!

Today I rescued some old fridge magnets I'd put in the box for the charity shop, and painted them with gesso, ready for... wait for it... what else... Zentangles!!!!!

Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi

Hi Bridget,
Didn't see any food on your desk this week - you're not on a diet are you? ;-)

I've just recently heard of zentangles and looked at a few books on Amazon. I ordered some books on doodles instead..... yep, something else to try! I'll check out the blogs that you list here.

I'm not participating this week but wanted to stop by and see what you're up to.

Hugs,
Kay
