Random 5 Friday

1. Driving to snow country and saw this picture in the sky of ominous clouds atop a beautiful hill

2. What a week it has been, starting with hubby putting his good knee out which now requires an operation in 3 weeks time. So glad they could put him in so early so he doesn't damage it more.

3. Got abused by a customer who just couldn't wait to be served. The arrogance of some people is beyond me.

4. Enjoying the fireplace and the warmth it provides. Love sitting a kettle on top and letting the water boil as well as cooking on it.

5. Some wonderful news has come about which is not shareable at the moment.

Rurality Blog Hop #20

We had a long weekend in June to Celebrate the Queen of England's birthday. We went down to Lake Eucumbene and stayed in a cottage with friends. As we entered the Holiday Village Buckenderra where we were staying we saw this alpaca in their paddock. They also had chickens that we could all go and feed as well. Lovely rural holiday place to stay at right on the lake.

Wordless Wednesday

WOYWW # 213

 A stash of Papers to do some classes for a retreat I am teaching at next month, there was so much of it I had to give it its own paper stand and separate it from my stash.
A card kit all cut out above in white card stock ready to be packaged
My wonderful friend and owner Ann-Maree at Craftyas surprised me with a gift that was on my wishlist
it now has pride of place in my machine corner and does a wonderful job when I put those intricate dies through them, they cut like butter

 One kit down ready for the Retreat on July 28th
Love our fireplace, its sits in the family room and I boil my water on it and meals that dont splash. This was Chicken in Montreal seasoning that I left to cook slowly for 2 hours, smelt wonderful throughout the house.
Poor Mr Crafty (hubby), last year he had an operation to mend his Meniscous on his right knee, on the weekend his left knee has gone the same way so we see the orthopaedic surgeon tomorrow to see when he can have another op, luckily for him he recovered from the op last time really quickly but still stressful having to drive him everywhere.
Hope on over to Julia's Stamping Ground to see more crafty desks

WOYWW # 211

I missed showing a desk last week because I had nothing to show. The desk up top shows my craft stuff I took away for the weekend crafting in the snow that I hadn't unpacked for a week.
 My working desk showing a box of card books under the Tsukineko folder that I was looking through, a new Spellbinders tag die ready to be used
My other desk with all my Spellbinders dies I want to use, flask of tea, some paper I had sprayed with Tsukineko fireworks
I was using my Grand Calibur to cut some dies and it attacked me LOL, the handle whacked me on the hand between the thumb and pointer finger, boy it was painful and to make matters worse I did it twice duh to me.
I received my anniversary ATC from Darnell after this post went up today so am adding it in here. Thank you Darnell it is absolutely gorgeous and the glue did hold up
Hubby had a birthday last week, I ordered this cake and had a picture of his motorcycle put on it. He loved the surprise when I delivered it to his work

Mona's Pictureque {Floral Love}

My husband brought home this bunch of roses the other week. I asked him what it was for as he hadn't bought me flowers for 7 years {suspicion raised here}. He said "JUST BECAUSE". I love him for that.

{Random 5 Friday}

Linking up 5 random facts/observations for Nancy's Random 5 Friday

1. Why would anyone want to question our Prime Minister's partners sexuality? How rude? He deserves to be sacked!

2. Love the fire place but not too sure about the minus temperatures.

3. Missing my daughters very much.

4. Hubby's birthday this week, not sure what to do with that as he hates being the centre of attention. However I did manage to get a cake made and decorated with his motorbike on it and deliver it to his work. {I think he enjoyed being the centre of attention for once}

5. Can't wait to have grand children...so clucky!

Orange you glad its Friday #42

It's not often I take a photo with orange in it. While making pumpkin soup I saw this on the kitchen counter top whilst on a 3 day away down in Snow Country this past weekend and knew I could play and link up with OYGIF. These pumpkins were grown in our garden and are called Queensland Blue and are very nice but oh so hard to peel. I used a clever and hacked away at it. I keep the seeds to replant again.

P52 Sweet Shot Tuesday Week 24

Took this shot while hubby drove at 100kms down the highway to the snow country. I was truly amazed that my point and shoot could do this in motion and through a windscreen. The clouds looked like it was descending upon us.
Taken with Canon Powershot S110, f/4, 1/640 sec, IO 100, 5mm (from the windscreen), max aperture 2, metering mode-pattern, no flash

Rurality Blog Hop #18

Last weekend we celebrated the Queen of England's Birthday.
We got Monday as a public holiday, so we went down to snow country at Lake Eucumbene where the last season of fishing was allowed on the lake. The guys went fishing and the ladies stayed back to craft. I just had to show you this ingenious way the guys held up a half a 44 gallon drum which had lost one of its legs, in order to use it to start a fire to warm us up. I have no idea where they got this big rock from but it held that drum for the 3 nights we were there and kept us warm and entertained.

WOYWW #209

Recently I hosted a Mini Book Swap on Online craft groups
The call was to make a mini book no larger than A5 size
(10cm x 15cm or 4 x 6 inches).
The results were some amazing creations that looked like this before I sorted them out

If you'd like to see the individual cards in separate photos go to my Craft Blog

These are my ATCs for the 4th Anniversary that have all been posted
